Tisha Patience Malongo.

|

Junior software and AI engineer based in Entebbe, Uganda. I build web applications with Python and Django, and I'm now building LLM-powered tools with RAG, LangChain and the OpenAI API. I'm studying AI Engineering at Turing College and training in IoT & embedded systems with Groundbreaker × Spiro Academy (May – Nov 2026). Open to junior roles and internships.

How I got here

A continuous progression.

From computer science fundamentals to building end-to-end Python web systems and exploring modern AI engineering.

01

Foundations

Computer science core, algorithms, problem solving, discrete math concepts and modern web basics.

CS Fundamentals • Problem Solving • Git

02

Full-stack Python

Deep dive into backend web engineering with Django, APIs, authentication, CRUD systems and clean application structure.

Python • Django • SQL • Git

03

Software engineering

Focused on testing, OOP, maintainable architecture, CI, linting and writing code that is easier to change.

Selected Work

Things I've actually built.

Projects are where I turn learning into working software — from Django backends to AI-powered tools.

Play Connect
01

Play Connect

PlayConnect Africa is an AI-powered sports ecosystem that connects athletes, fans, scouts, coaches, and clubs on one platform. Our goal is to ensure that every athlete has access to opportunities regardless of whether they own a smartphone or a basic feature phone. Through AI and Africa's Talking APIs, users can register, receive updates, interact with scouts, and access sports information using web, SMS, USSD, and Voice services.

02

Nyondo General Hardware — Inventory & Sales Management System

A Django-based inventory and sales management system for a hardware store in Uganda. Features dual dashboards for managers and attendants, automated stock tracking, receipt generation, and supplier credit management — with custom validators for Ugandan phone numbers and National IDs.

Farm2Plate
03

Farm2Plate

Food security platform connecting farmers to consumers. Farm 2 Plate is a technology-based platform built for low-resource settings. It uses mobile and SMS access, digital marketplaces, transport matching, mobile money, and AI-driven nutrition messaging. This hub connects farmers, households, schools, and transporters so food moves efficiently from harvest to plate.

✦ What I'm building next

AI that helps people learn.

I'm exploring ideas around accessible learning and AI-assisted education, including a project inspired by the experience of students with dyslexia — focusing on tailored text restructuring, comprehension assistance, and adaptive cognitive pacing.
